Hey everybody! I’m Nnenna the Navigator!
My love for travel started long before I ever boarded a plane. As a child, my parents took my family on road trips all over the United States, showing us the vast beauty of our own backyard. But the most meaningful journey of all was when we traveled back to Nigeria, the place where it all began. Those experiences became some of my earliest and most cherished memories. At a young age, my parents instilled in me the importance of traveling as a means of connection and learning—a lesson that has shaped my life in ways I never could have imagined.
After graduating from law school and taking the bar exam, I needed a break. A couple of friends and I packed our bags and spent over two weeks exploring Europe. That trip opened my eyes to the magic of travel, and after taking a second bar exam, I was off again—this time for another adventure with a friend. But everything changed after my 26th birthday.
Born at the start of the year, I always found that friends were too busy to travel with me after the holiday season. One year, I finally asked myself: Why should I wait for others to celebrate my life? So, I booked a solo trip to the Bahamas. That journey was more than just a vacation—it was the beginning of my love affair with solo travel. I made an incredible friend, had unforgettable experiences, and realized something powerful: I could create joy for myself, anywhere in the world. From that moment on, I never looked back.
Since then, I’ve made it my mission to not only explore the world but to inspire others to do the same. I believe travel is for everyone, and through my website, I want to equip you with the knowledge, confidence, and motivation to embark on your own adventures. Whether you’re looking for travel tips, personal stories, or a glimpse into the lives of people across the globe, you’ll find it all here.
Some of my favorite destinations? It’s hard to choose, but Kenya, Japan, and Portugal hold special places in my heart. Each country has taught me something new, just like every place I visit leaves a lasting impact. No matter where I go, I find that while we may come from different backgrounds, we share so many similarities.
